General orthopaedics includes the diagnosis and surgical treatment of injuries and conditions affecting the musculoskeletal system, including bones, nerves, ligaments, tendons, muscles and joints. Training for Board Certification in Orthopaedics includes all types of musculoskeletal disease and treatments. Orthopaedic surgeons treat a wide variety of conditions, common orthopaedic problems such as arthritis, fractures, tendon, ligament, muscle and joint pain and injuries related to work and sports.
